Radio Seagull on air: Laura Jerome                                               External Website
Hi I’m Laura Jerome, welcome to my page here on Radio Seagull.

It is great to be on Radio Seagull playing such fantastic music and generally having a good time. I will be here week to week playing that unique music mix that the station is famous for.

On a personal level, I come from the south coast of England, in Hampshire, where I normally live and work on local FM stations.
I have quite a few hobbies and interests obviously Radio being the first, and music being the second, (or preferably both combined!). Music however is probably the bigger of the two. I am heavily into my music. I play a number of instruments and I sing. Also, my personal CD collection has to be lifted by a crane and it’s quite possible that very soon, lining up my CD’s will result in some of them needing a passport. I have that many!

I like so many different genres of music, especially prog-rock. Pink Floyd being one of my all time favourite groups - in fact my dissertation at Uni was based on the album 'Dark Side of the Moon'.

It was quite funny growing up as a child as my parents tastes in music are radically different from each other. While my dad prefers the heavier stuff such as Black Sabbath and Metallica, my mum prefers things like the Sound of Music, and Phantom of the Opera. Needless to say, I now enjoy pretty much all genres of music from 'A' to 'Z', although 'R' has an exclusion as I can't stand Rap. Its not music by my definition.

If I had to list 10 of my favourite groups and artists, it would probably be the following (in no particular order):
Pink Floyd, Queen, Elastica, AC/DC, Pulp, Van Halen, Guns n Roses, Led Zeppelin, David Bowie & Marc Bolan.

However as soon as I compiled this list there were loads of others that I wanted to add, but, Doris Day and Ozzy Osbourne don't really sound as if they should feature in the same list!
