He stayed in the county to present on European Klassik Rock and the land-based Radio Caroline, the latter was also simulcast on 'The Breeze' in Southern France and Italy, with supplementary programmes that Tom developed for WBCQ in the USA.
The UKRD radio group then invited Tom to Gloucestershire, in England, to steer the Star 107.5 Cheltenham drivetime show to success in 2001, the programme quickly became one of the most popular and helped the station achieve record listening figures. He also additionally presented nearby for Star 107 in Stroud and Star 107.7 in Weston-super-Mare, as well as hosting prominent events in the West of England.
BBC Local Radio was next to benefit from Tom's engaging radio shows, when BBC Radio Gloucestershire signed him up to present the Saturday breakfast show, taking audience figures to new heights - he also programmed the station's music policy.
Away from the microphone Tom has written for the Archant magazine group and The History Press, with a book on the UK town of Cheltenham.
Outside the studio, Tom loves walking in the Cotswolds with his family, and has spent an enormous amount of time digitising his huge audio and video archive!
